Salary: c£36,500 – £37,000 per annum, based upon experience and location

Location: London/Hybrid working with two days a week in our iconic London office at 66 Portland Place and flexibility regarding the rest of the week.

Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent

About the Role

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Marketing Executive to join our Marketing and Communications team. The Marketing Executive manages campaigns both in the UK and internationally to promote RIBA, its activities, events and thought leadership initiatives, covering topics from inspirational building design to sustainable architecture and business management. Their portfolio includes:

  • Developing and delivering marketing campaigns to support membership recruitment, engagement and retention both in the UK and internationally
  • Working with RIBA staff and volunteer members – supporting them to deliver activity across our branches and chapters around the world
  • Developing marketing partnerships with key international organisations
  • Promoting our international awards – celebrating buildings from around the world that demonstrate visionary thinking, design excellence and social impact
  • Engaging members with our events and thought leadership content and campaigns
  • Promoting RIBA’s presence and activities at key international exhibitions, including MIPIM and Cityscape.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering tactical marketing campaigns across the full marketing mix to meet targets and KPIs Planning campaign budgets and monitoring marketing spend
  • Crafting key messages and propositions
  • Audience segmentation, analysis and targeting
  • Publishing and curating digital content
  • Producing effective marketing collateral (digital and print) working with external agencies and suppliers
  • Developing and activating email marketing campaigns – including oversight of newsletters for our international members
  • Social media marketing campaigns, in the UK and overseas
  • Event marketing to drive ticket sales and attendance, and on-site support
  • Monitoring/measuring campaign outcomes reporting back on ROI, offering insight and making recommendations for change and optimisation

 

What are we looking for?

  • We are seeking an experienced all-round marketer with creative flair and who has planned and delivered tactical marketing campaigns using the full marketing mix.
  • You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of different customer groups and have strong organisational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. You will also have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders both within the organisation and externally.
  • You should have experience in delivering email, social media and content marketing activity, excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, experience of Google Analytics, email platforms (e.g. Adestra, Mailchimp), CRM databases, event marketing, publishing content using website CMS and delivering campaign reporting to give insight and aid decision making.
  • Our ideal candidate will be commercially minded and have the resilience to navigate complex environments, with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder needs and priorities.
  • A business/marketing qualification is desirable.
  • Experience of working with international markets and cultures would be desirable but not essential.
  • Fluency in Mandarin would also be advantageous.
