We are recruiting for a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing department at the National Theatre.

The Marketing Department provides marketing and sales support for almost all areas of the National Theatre’s business including performances and events on the South Bank, cinema broadcasts, learning initiatives, digital products, publishing, restaurants, and retail.

The National Theatre seeks to connect this ever-widening offering with an increasingly diverse range of audiences, placing digital at the core of targeted, innovative, and engaging campaigns.

The Marketing Manager works within the South Bank Marketing team, which sits within Audiences & Marketing; this directorate also encompasses Box Office, Brand, Digital Media (National Theatre at Home, NT Live and the Content Production Studio), Press, Communications and the Graphic Design Studio.

The role works closely with members of all these teams to ensure the delivery of sales for live South Bank shows, through a combination of nurturing the existing customer base while also growing a diverse range of new audiences. The role is also directly responsible for the marketing support of key business areas such as the Learning department and the Development team, which oversees the management and growth of memberships and other fundraising initiatives.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Considerable experience of marketing ticketed events, ideally within the arts, heritage and/or live entertainment sectors, with demonstrable experience of working with ticketing and audience data to analyse and inform campaigns.
  • Experience of successfully working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of working to multiple deadlines with effective time management skills.
  • Experience of working with media or creative agencies.
  • Experience of using data and audience insight to inform decision-making and measure impact.

If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!
