The team leverages digital platforms including the PBS KIDS for Parents website the PBS KIDS email newsletter, and the PBS KIDS social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to contribute to brand and marketing campaigns for PBS KIDS series launches, new episodes, and seasonal priorities.

The intern will learn digital content marketing best practices through hands-on experience supporting the development of content for email and social media platforms. The intern must be passionate about PBS KIDS’ mission, engaging parents of young children, and creating content for social media and digital platforms.

Time Commitment: 40 hrs./week, May 28, 2024 – August 23, 2024
Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour

The team leverages digital platforms including the PBS KIDS for Parents website the PBS KIDS email newsletter, and the PBS KIDS social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to contribute to brand and marketing campaigns for PBS KIDS series launches, new episodes, and seasonal priorities.

The intern will learn digital content marketing best practices through hands-on experience supporting the development of content for email and social media platforms. The intern must be passionate about PBS KIDS’ mission, engaging parents of young children, and creating content for social media and digital platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities/Projects: 

  • Contribute to platform or campaign strategies. Examples may include developing a Stories strategy on Instagram or an email marketing campaign related to a specific theme.
  • Assist with developing content for social media, email, and other digital platforms. This could include pitching ideas for social media graphics or videos and, themes or content for emails.
  • Create content, such as writing copy, designing graphics, and producing videos.
  • Manage the scheduling of a platform, such as WhatsApp or Threads.
  • Contribute to a special project related to social media or email marketing.

 

 

Skill Intern Will Acquire: 

  • Knowledge of social media and email marketing best practices
  • Experience writing, editing, and/or creating videos and graphics
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills
