Job Title: Senior Content Creative

Reports to: Head of Content and Campaigns

Kooth is a fast growing business with a social purpose. Listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE:KOO), our mission is to provide welcoming and effective digital mental health support to the nation.

Working in partnership with the NHS, we are already the UK’s largest digital mental health platform for young people aged 10-25. We are now rapidly expanding into supporting the NHS adult population, providing corporate solutions to help build mentally healthy businesses, and expanding internationally.

Role Objective

Create fresh and compelling content and campaigns tailored to distinct audiences – both user and commercial. Creatively lead in developing our brand tone of voice, bringing to life our brand story and channels. Work with the wider team to champion the role of great content in building our brand.

Content creation and content marketing

  • Bring creativity and brand thinking to development of a range of campaigns and content formats – from newsletters and webinars, to school assemblies, research reports and more
  • Use your copywriting and content craft to deliver fresh, distinctive and compelling content (emails, scripts, social posts, website copy, etc) which resonates with the audience/s and achieves individual project aims
  • Carefully filter and manage pipeline of content requests, ensuring each project is well managed and delivered on time
  • Consult with internal teams, contributing ideas and making recommendations before working with colleagues to meet the brief – which could range from lesson materials for teenagers to thought leadership content for policy makers
  • Ensure output is accurate, high quality, clinically safe and in line with our brand
  • Where possible, ensure content created is aligned across teams and channels and/or repurposed from existing library
  • Where appropriate, work with the design team to create visuals appropriate to each audience and in line with our brand
  • Support with collaborative participation projects, working with people with lived experience to create content which will help and support others
  • Work with colleagues to repurpose content for different audiences via different channels, including socials and our website

 

Messaging and personality

  • Build on our brand positioning to create compelling messaging tailored to different audiences
  • Take the lead in developing our distinct personality and tone of voice, exploring how we work with users, partners and influencers to build a truly inclusive brand

 

Thought leadership

  • Work with colleagues across marketing and research to develop a range of compelling thought leadership content and campaigns around key themes and messages
  • Ability to bring to life research, data and expert commentary in creative and accessible ways, and across multiple channels
  • Report back on performance and lessons learned

 

Editorial management

  • Plan and maintain content calendar aligned to reactive and proactive campaigns
  • Assign content creation tasks internally, commissioning freelancers where needed while ensuring we stay within budget
  • Project manage each campaign in a timely way ensuring the team has capacity and is supported if needed

 

People management and leadership

  • Ensure the team is aware of how their work aligns to the marketing strategy and Kooth’s broader goals
  • Line manage 1-2 team members, providing motivation, challenge and guidance, ensuring they have the support and training needed to achieve their goals
  • Ensure all activities can be linked to Kooth’s overarching objectives
  • Measurement and reporting
  • Measure and monitor relevant web pages, landing pages and social media traffic data to ensure we are driving up awareness and engagement, taking appropriate actions to improve metrics
  • Create agreed metrics for the team covering relevant aspects of the role and results achieved
  • With your line manager, create a template for reporting and ensure this is completed every month, raising issues where relevant

 

 

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing impactful content marketing strategies.
  • Track record of efficiently managing end-to-end content projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience in optimizing content marketing budgets for maximum returns.
  • Proficient in using various data analysis tools.
  • Ability to analyze data for informed content strategy decisions.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective content creation processes
  • Previous leadership experience in guiding content creation teams.
  • Proven flexibility in adapting editorial style to diverse content needs.
  • Hands-on experience using tools to assess and optimize content impact.
  • Skill in crafting compelling, brand-aligned copy.
  • Experience ensuring all content aligns seamlessly with brand narrative.
  • Demonstrated initiative and success in implementing solutions independently.
  • Previous experience collaborating with stakeholders, providing strategic content guidance.
