We have an exciting opportunity to join our Digital & Social Marketing team as an Influencer Marketing Manager.  Externally this role is known as Influencer Marketing Manager.

 

The purpose of this role is to deliver best in class influencer marketing campaigns which integrate into the overall social media strategy. A successful candidate will primarily focus on developing our influencer strategy and executing influencer campaigns for key brand moments.

Through the creation of influencer marketing activity you will help to drive awareness of these Waitrose values to both new and existing customers. You will be responsible for our influencer strategy, ensuring we have key talent that aligns to the overall social media strategy. You will also be responsible for identifying talent, negotiating contracts and executing creative brand briefs. Through ongoing measurement and optimisation, you will ensure that our influencer campaigns are cost effective, drive incremental revenue and help to drive our brand metrics.

 

You will operate in a collaborative matrix way of working with teams across Marketing, Communications, Content & Design, Customer Insight and Customer Services.

 

This is a blended working role, therefore your time will be split between working from home, and the Bracknell Head Office with occasional travel to other locations.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Develop & deliver our influencer strategy to drive brand value, third party advocacy and ensure key measurement success criteria is applied and achieved
  • Identifying key talent and bringing opportunities to the table
  • Executing creative influencer content that drives brand awareness and brand consideration as relevant at key campaigns moments
  • Working collaboratively with our Communications team to execute influencer marketing campaigns
  • Negotiating contracts seamlessly with agents and talent
  • Managing influencer budgets effectively
  • Creating efficiency by working collaboratively with our paid and organic social teams to ensure influencer content is used across those channels
  • Ensure accurate reporting processes are in place to generate daily, weekly and monthly reports to measure effectiveness and assist forward planning
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Waitrose Communications team and the John Lewis team

What you’ll have?

  • Social media expert with significant demonstrable experience of defining and owning influencer activity
  • Hands-on experience of developing strategic annual plans and timelines throughout the year
  • Experience of setting and reporting against KPIs as well as significant experience of managing budgets to ensure effectiveness of influencer plans
  • Significant experience with negotiating contracts seamlessly with agents and talent
  • Significant experience with managing influencer budgets effectively
  • Hands-on experience of executing creative brand briefs for talent that drives brand awareness and brand consideration as relevant at key campaigns moments
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge for social media
  • The ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and work to deadlines, being reactive as needed in the ever-changing social media landscape
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and relationship-building ability
  • Experience of multiple stakeholder management at all/senior levels – strong levels of communication required for presenting to, reporting to and influencing multiple stakeholders
  • Significant experience in collaborative and matrix working with other teams to execute influencer marketing campaigns
  • An understanding of influencer marketing across key social media channels (Meta, TikTok and YouTube) and in paid and owned spaces

What else could you bring?

  • The team is fairly small and we’re in a changing environment so an ability to deal with ambiguity with energy, positivity & enthusiasm is really important
  • Any experience of grocery and/or retail would be helpful
  • Experience of wider digital marketing channels and how they influence Social and vice versa, specifically SEO, Email, Display and PPC
