About The Role
This is a brand-new sparkling role, and the successful candidate will be key in helping to shape the position. The Social Media Coordinator will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and play a highly integral role in representing Hullo brand voice on social channels. This opportunity is ideal for someone who’s is up-to-date in all things pop-culture, and loves to conceptualize, film, and edit iPhone-style reels and TikTok’s, and is a top-notch communicator online.
The primary focus of the Social Media Coordinator is to develop and deploy of all organic social media content following objectives set by the marketing team. They will manage a monthly content calendar, sharing a mix of video and still assets across multiple channels to help grow and engage our online communities, while maintain a strong, consistent brand voice.
Responsibilities 
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to implement the comprehensive organic social media strategy for Hullo Ferries across various platforms such as Meta, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Generate engaging and relevant video and still content while managing its deployment.
  • Build online communities with thoughtful community engagement.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, demonstrating a keen understanding of their application to enhance brand presence.
  • Develop KPI reports on social performance and utilize social listening tools to help inform the overall social strategy.
  • Liaise regularly with technology, guest experience, and communications teams to ensure alignment on objectives, content creation, and brand consistency.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on marketing budgets, plans, and performance measurements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Tourism, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 2-years of experience in marketing, content creation, and/or project management.
  • Proven track record in managing cross-functional marketing social channels, with familiarity and expertise in social media management tools like Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Proficient video editing skills tailored for social media platforms.
  • Deep understanding and ability to capitalize on social media trends to enhance brand presence and engagement.
  • Brand advocate with a deep understanding of our brand ethos and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholder.
  • Proficient in time management, organizational tools, and project management techniques.
  • Inherent curiosity, humility, and a drive for personal and professional growth.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven individual who takes pride in ensuring accuracy in all aspects.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and improvement.
Bonus points if you:
  • Have prior experience in the tourism, travel, and/or marine transportation industry.
  • Are interested in data and analytics, utilizing it effectively for KPI tracking and strategic decision-making.
  • Are solutions focused mindset with a desire to build and improve.
  • Have work experience in tourism & travel and/or marine transportation industry
  • Are highly proficient with time management, organizational tools, and project management
Contract details:
  • 1 Year Contract starting approx. April 2024
  • Required to have registered business number as this role will be expected to invoice VIFC.

Compensation

$50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
